There’s something for everyone at Stapeley Water Gardens!
There’s certainly plenty to see and do at Stapeley Water Gardens, whatever the weather. At the Palms Tropical Oasis you can discover over 100 species of wildlife, from the captivating Cotton Top Tamarin Monkeys, Toco Toucans, Piranhas and Sharks, Poison Dart Frogs and the new Meerkats. Experience the atmosphere of a tropical rainforest with a trip to the tropical house. Here the enormous leaves of the Giant Amazon Water Lily reach up to 2 meters and shade Piranhas, Giant Pacus and Catfish. A myriad of rare and exotic plants thrive in the high humidity. If you want to get closer to the animals, the Palms provides “Meet the Keeper” sessions every Saturday 1-3pm, plus Mondays and Wednesdays in school holidays.
With a trip to the garden centre you’ll find fabulous selections of plants, gifts, camping equipment, pets, fish, water gardening and more! Or you can escape the shopping and take a relaxing stroll around the striking display pools and see the National Collection of Water Lilies, which are in bloom from mid June to mid September. There’s even an Angling Centre for the keen anglers in the family.
